FATHER OF LIBRARIAN 

        Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan was born 12 August 1892 was a mathematician and librarian from India. His most notable contributions to the field were his five laws of library science and the development of the first major faceted classification system, the colon classification. He is considered to be the father of library science, documentation, and information science in India and is widely known throughout the rest of the world for his fundamental thinking in the field. His birthday is observed every year as the national library day in India.

          In educational institutions library play a vital role in strengthening academic, research and   extension mission of the college. It facilitates as source base for dissemination of knowledge.

Library Rules:

  • . Readers and visitors are requested not to bring their belonging in the library.
  • . Users are requested to return the books/documents after reference.
  • . No document issued brought to the library unless for returning.
  • . Users are responsible for complying with copyright act while photocopying
  • . Silence and strict discipline be maintained in the library by all users.
  • . Smoking and use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside library.
  • . Dictionaries, Reference and books should be referred in the library only;
  • They will not be allowed to be taken out-side the library.
  • . At the end of the academic year on whichever is earlier, student is required to return all the books.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 09.30 am To  5.00 pm

Saturday: 10.00 am To 3.00 pm

Issue/Return of books : 11.00 am To 4.00 pm

Library Committee

Library committee has  been formed in our college the smooth and easy function of the library as well as to strengthen the collection .Services , and procurement of journals, books and other resources, and also  for the proper utilization grants and monitor the development of the library system. The committee consists of all HOD’s all class CR’s all courses are the members. The Librarian is the Convener, and the Principle will be the President of this committee.
